Claude Handschuh
Chief Executive Officer
Chairman of the Board
Claude Handschuh has been in charge of the strategic and operational management of Verpama AG since 2005. He is also head of Marketing & Sales and Finance. He has extensive international experience from various industries and activities and most recently as CFO of a globally active company group in the packaging industry. Mr. Handschuh graduated from the University of Applied Science in Zurich as a Bachelor of Business Administration and helds a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, USA.
Willy Spiess
Head of Engineering
Willy Spiess is responsible for the design and development of the TRAY and BLISS Former business in Verpama. He is in close contact with customers to advise them on finding solutions for their individual needs. Willy Spiess has many years experience as a design engineer, development engineer and project leader in a variety of industries and in the development services sector. He is a trained draftsman. He also obtained an engineering degree in RF engineering at the University of Technology, Zurich, and an NDS university degree in business economics at the University of Applied Sciences, Chur.
Urs Dettwiler
Production Manager
Urs Dettwiler has decades of experience at national and international level as a production manager of a globally active company group in the packaging industry. He joined Verpama AG at the end of 2008 when he was essentially in charge of the integration of TRAY and BLISS Formers into production at Verpama AG. Urs Dettwiler has a degree in mechanical engineering from HTL.
Martin Witzig
Head of Purchasing & Projects
Martin Witzig joined Verpama AG in 1999. He has wide experience as a project manager of large packaging projects and as an advisor to key customers for packing materials within Verpama AG. Before this, he acquired experience in the mail order and direct marketing industry where he worked as a managing director and member and chairman of the board for many years. Martin Witzig has a degree in Business Administration and is now responsible for the project management of packaging projects in Western Switzerland, of standard components and packaging and is responsible for looking after key customers. He is also head of sales administration, purchasing and logistics.
Alois Müller
Head of Tray and Bliss Technology
Alois Müller joined Verpama AG in 2008 and was then very busy with the integration of TRAY and BLISS formers in production at Verpama. As well as thorough training in mechanical engineering, he also has decades of experience as a service technician and site supervisor. Today he is the technical director of Verpama TRAY and BLlSS technology and is head of assembly and the service department.
